Health Care Seminar May 9, 2013: Rand Insurance sponsored a Healthcare "Play or Pay" Seminar at Innis Arden which focused on building awareness and strategies for the compliance under the new Health Care Law. Our guest speaker, Bob Noonan, attorney and founder of Robert Noonan and Associates, LLC (pictured standing, above) provided a host of important information, and was well received by many Rand clients and local businesses. Several Rand employees were also in attendance and/or helped organize this event. Hosting informational seminars is one of the ways that Rand Insurance educates and supports the business sector we serve.
First Bank Art Networking Event March, 2013: Paul Mercado - VP Commercial Lines, Maura Kinney - our new Director of Marketing, and Sal Provenzano - Business Insurance Sales, recently attended a networking function in Greenwich. We welcome Maura as a new member of our Team to initiate efforts to expand our reach into new market segments throughout Fairfield and Westchester counties.
Back to School Food Drive for Person-to-Person
September 24, 2012: Rand employees donated food to help restock the food pantry at Person-to-Person in Darien. In addition to providing emergency food, Person-to-Person offers families in our area clothing, financial assistance, and budget counseling. Rand Insurance and Chubb Support AmeriCares
August 23, 2012: Above, Curt Welling, President and CEO of AmeriCares accepts a check for $3,000 from Jeff Updyke, SVP/Branch Manager of Chubb New Haven, and David Lindsay of Rand Insurance. The donation resulted from Rand's participation in the Chubb Charity Challenge, an annual nationwide charity golf event run by Chubb. All proceeds from the event go to the participating agencies' choice of charity. Rand Insurance, through their partnership with Chubb and the Charity Challenge has been able to donate $20,000 to AmeriCares' wonderful efforts over the past six years.

In Memory of Betty Ann Cookney

Philadelphia Insurance Companies Donate to AmeriCares

September 1, 2011: Philadelphia Insurance Comanies' (PHLY) Elizabeth Buccheri and Rand Insurance's David Lindsay and Chip Olney presented a check for $5,484 to Carol Shattuck and Kate Sears from AmeriCares. PHLY made this contribution as a part of the company's Jean Day Program for the month of May. Through the Jean Day Program, employees from PHLY's 46 offices across the country paid $1 to wear jeans on Fridays and voted on the charity to receive the month's funds. Through AmeriCare's ability to leverage every dollar donated by approximately 35 times, the PHLY donation to AmeriCares will help the organization provide close to $200,000 in aid to those in need worldwide.

Riverside Run 2011
May 7, 2011: For the 28th year, Rand Insurance sponsored the Riverside School’s “Riverside Run”. This great community-based event organized by the Riverside School PTA brought out runners (and walkers!) of all ages to enjoy the 3 mile loop along the streets of Riverside, beginning and ending at the elementary school. Kathy Giusti Honored by Time Magazine
Apr, 2011: Kathy Giusti, Founder and CEO of the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation (MMRF) was named one of TIME Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in the World. MMRF is a long-term client of Rand Insurance. MMRF, headed by Kathy Giusti, “relentlessly pursues innovative means that accelerate the development of next-generation multiple myeloma treatments to extend the lives of patients and lead to a cure”. Japan Earthquake and Tsunami Relief
Mar 28, 2011: Rand Insurance's employees, along with a match from Rand Insurance, donated $3,000 to AmeriCares to benefit the earthquake and tsunami relief efforts in Japan. AmeriCares is a non-profit disaster relief and humanitarian aid organization which provides immediate response to emergency medical needs and supports long-term humanitarian assistance programs around the world. 2010 Holiday Food Drive
Dec, 2010: For our 2010 holiday service project, Rand Insurance held a food drive in both our Riverside and New Canaan offices. Through food given by Rand employees, as well as outside donations, we were able to fill a van full of much needed goods to benefit the The Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County, located in Stamford. Rand Supports Greenwich Emergency Medical Service
Sep 15, 2009: Pictured above, Rand Insurance, Inc. presenting a $5,000 Fireman's Fund Heritage Grant to the Greenwich Emergency Medical Service, Inc. (GEMS) for the purchase of 11 new personal carbon monoxide detectors.
